What?

Run With Color is a run/walk with fun, music, food, people, fresh air and lots and lots of color! That's right, color. Who would've guessed? There will be color stations every kilometer which will color you brighter than a tie-dye shirt. It's not just your shirt either, it's all of you! Everyone in the race will be colored head to toe and then colored some more. In a nutshell, you're running with color! All proceeds from the event will go to the Family Tree Relief Nursery.

Who?

Family Tree Relief Nursery is a community-based child abuse prevention program, providing early intervention services at no cost to high-risk Linn County families with children under the age of six.

Family Tree Relief Nursery works to strengthen the family unit as the best way to promote the physical, social, emotional, spiritual, and intellectual development of children. Experience shows that most parents, given appropriate knowledge and resources, will freely provide the nurturing love and care their children need.

Why?

Run With Color is an 5k charity run that started out as a class project Fall term of 2012. Five ordinary college students tasked with organizing an event (any event) decided to turn it into a charitable cause. The result is Run With Color. Since then, another group has taken over the event and will be organizing the run for May of 2013. Through participant fees, community sponsors, local businesses, and donations, Run With Color raises money for the Family Tree Relief Nursery.
